Centuries ago, humanity escaped the Solar System and colonized the stars. We encountered a similarly expansionist race and total war ensued. Victory came at the cost of billions of lives and many worlds were destroyed or found themselves cut off from the rest of the galaxy.

Our colony survived but lost the means to travel or communicate beyond our star system.

Now, more than eighty years after it was thought destroyed in battle, an enormous star ship is drifting through our system, within reach:

ECLIPTIC

Despite being badly damaged and infested with alien monsters, if it can be recovered, the technology contained on board will mean a fresh start and bright future for our world.

Your team of three robots has been sent to the Ecliptic. Guide them as they make repairs, clear out aliens and overcome the onboard security systems. They must reach the bridge, take control of the ship and bring it home.

Ecliptic is a mixture of turn based tactical combat and role playing for the Commodore Amiga. Some of its influences are Space Crusade, UFO: Enemy Unknown and the Gold Box Dungeons & Dragons games.

Visually, it is intended to evoke the retro-futuristic science fiction of the 1970s and 1980s – think Aliens.

I think it would be great to see this on Steam or GOG bundled with UAE, like how Defender of the Crown is packaged.

Interesting game, reminds me great games like X-Com and Laser Squad, so worth the wait. I also added this to my "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from March 2024" video.

It promises to be a very fun game!

Thanks for posting your video - it's always good to see someone other than me try to play the game. It helps to highlight the places I need to improve!

Looks interesting. Thanks for sharing!
